Air Navigation Solutions Ltd is a British registered company with its own board of directors and management team.

Having been awarded a 10-year contract for the future provision of Air Traffic Control and Air Traffic Engineering Services at Gatwick Airport, the company has gained the certification and designation required to operate as an ANSP in the UK market and provide ATM services at Gatwick. This was issued by the Civil Aviation Authority on 1st March 2016.

ANS is a wholly owned subsidiary of the DFS Group combining the reputation, capability and security of a well-established and respected global air traffic service provider with the flexibility, agility and value of a fresh business.

The wealth of experience and diversity throughout the team complements this inherent capability, and ensures service packages are tailor made and proportionate to each customer’s requirements. Whilst the initial focus is on ensuring a successful Gatwick transition in spring 2016, the organisation also has future growth ambitions, providing employees with additional career opportunities both in the UK and wider European DFS group activities.

16.09.2016 - ANS awarded contract for Edinburgh Air Traffic Control

Air Navigation Solutions Ltd is pleased to have been awarded a 10 year contract at Edinburgh Airport to provide Air Traffic Control and Air Traffic Engineering services. The contract will start on 1st April 2018 and the award follows the successful transfer of similar services to ANS Ltd at London Gatwick Airport earlier this year. Werner Spier, ANS Ltd MD said "we are delighted to have been awarded the Edinburgh contract. This, our second UK contract, reflects our growth ambitions and is testament to our responsive and innovative approach to the market and the value it delivers to Airport customers.

For a Company or Organisation to be able to provide Air Navigation Services in the UK, they must hold a Certificate issued by the CAA as the UK National Supervisory Authority (NSA) for SES, as set out in Article 7 of Commission Regulation (EC) No. 550/2004 The Service Provision Regulation and Article 8b(2) of Commission Regulation (EC) No. 216/2008, the EASA Basic Regulation. To achieve certification, the Company or Organisation must demonstrate compliance with the applicable requirements of Commission Regulation (EC) No. 216/2008, the EASA Basic Regulation.
